murray will not have that season again. probably won't even get close to it. i'd like to see him back, obviously. he has a chemistry with this line and this team that would be hard to replace, but I think we'd be better off going after Ingram or AP.

yah I am praying for AP and the colts don't have an O Line like the cowboys....they should really take a shot at rice they could probably get him for cheap too

yeah, even then though, it's not exactly 'game over' I mean, did you forget indys defense is horrible?

Bad trade for the Bills. Eagles made out like bandits unless the Bills know something about his knees that the Eagles don't know, in which case it will show up in the physical and the trade will be voided anyway.

can't wait for the jets to sign...

suh, maclin, cobb, julius thomas, mike iupati, revis, mccorty, pernell mcphee, kareem jackson, and finally demarco murray

I think the Eagles came out on top of this. Not sure if it's even close. Getting cap space for sure, not to mention Sproles ain't no scrub. And yes, that was a TLC reference.

My only complaint is that they traded for Alonso, a guy coming off an ACL injury. I love Shady and heavily appreciate what he's done for the Eagles, but there's no need to spend big bucks on a RB nowadays IMO. They could easily find a platoon partner for Sproles.

Eagles need secondary help more than anything else.

lmaooooooooo Eagles forever gonna stay ringless

They're going to regardless. I gave up hope a long time ago.

An ACL tear in today's NFL really isn't an extreme career changing injury anymore. Unless you go full Marcus Lattimore you have a pretty solid chance to come back 100%. Tommy Davis has had 3 knee procedures and he is playing the best football of his career.

eagles pushing for championships. love it.
Whenever someone thinks a leg injury is a career ender, I'd like to address Frank Gore. Don't get me wrong, for some people they are. But football players are savages. You can still have long, healthy careers. I think Kiko will have twice as long of a career than McCoy. We'll see how it plays out though.
or willis mcgahee, his knee injury was so bad man

maybe theres something im not getting, but by trading away essentially their best player? i dont get it

well yeah that's cause you're looking at this with the incorrect point of view

the eagles now get a potential All-Pro LB in Kiko Alonso who is making pennies for the next 2 years. he will also be a restricted free agent in 2 years because he got injured last season. this allows the eagles to cut demeco ryans and after their cuts they will have around $29.1 million in cap space i believe. that is better than having shady

i also cant stand jets fans right now

they seriously believe the "jets and eagles will trade at 6 if mariota is there".  it's just amazing to me how grown men could be so stupid, you don't believe anything before the draft

i agree with this. i think kiko has a long career ahead of him which excites me. its hard to find such a young player with promise these days.

i am not judging this trade yet. once we see who the eagles get with the $10mil in cap space they cleared, then i can judge it. if we make out with maxwell + kiko for shady, i consider that a pretty damn good deal.

lol i am shocked this happened

shocked

So long Percy. If the Jets don't cut that albatross of a contract It will be a huge mistake.
Percy is forsure gone now. I'm wondering what LB from FA the Falcons will sign...

I like the Brandon Marshall move, with Eric Decker that could be dirty. But, BUT, you still have Geno. He's not going to be a QB in this league. I dont know what the jets needs all are, but they need to seriously reevaluate that position

Really would like to re sign Randall, but if hes going to pull a Greg Jennings or James Jones, then deuces. The grass isnt always greener, especially when you have the best QB in the league throwing to you.

yeah if they cut percy (which will almost 100% happen) they will actually save a 4th round pick and 1.5 million in cap space. it's basically a done deal. also marshall's deal is set up the same as percy's, they can cut him without taking on any dead money after the season if it doesn't work out (which i think it will honestly)

the only thing that potentially bothers me about this trade is that i don't want the jets to be picking at 6 with either cooper or white on the board and be like "well, we don't need them now anymore). hopefully mariota is still there because then things can get really interesting

what's still great is that the jets will have around $55 million in cap space still lol. it's why i'm so bothered that everyone HATES idzik, like this was clearly his plan

What's the word on Bryce Petty? I thought he was pretty talented in college, was he just a product of his system? Doesn't seem like anyone is talking about him, then again I don't watch espn anymore.
He's not great Ging. I have him rated as like a 4th rounder.

not very accurate and can't push the ball down field. he also just gets rocked when he has to go through his progressions

he has the size and athleticism you want though, but that's basically it

Jason Cole @JasonPhilCole · 16m16 minutes ago

Echoing @CharlesRobinson, high-placed source told me w/ confidence Suh is going to #Dolphins. 2nd source said #Lions only other team chasing

i hate jason cole, he's been wrong so many times before. i want to post this so when suh doesn't go to the dolphins i can come back and see this and lol

GOD FUCKING DAMNIT THAT GUY WAS RIGHT

Dolphins were being reported as the front runners like 3 days ago Moose. No other team was gonna drop the money they were willing to go to. It was almost being reported as a guarantee based on the amounts that they were supposedly willing to offer.

maybe i'm naive, but that shit doesn't mean anything to me. the chargers were also reported to be making a push, but i never believe reports until there is an official meeting or whatever. i honestly don't even care that much

eagles 100% overpaid for maxwell. 5 years $50 million with $25 million guaranteed is way too much for an average CB

Replacing Shady with Frank Gore in an uptempo offense....LOL
:'( I enjoyed watching that guy run.
I thought he would just retire honestly
I guess Willis is retiring, bad news bear won't go away.
it's ok. i loved patrick willis and he was one of my favorite players, but you still have NaVarro Bowman (who is arguable the best ILB in football ) and chris borland, who played super well his rookie year

lol jets fans are flipping out cause we haven't signed anyone

calling maccagnan idzik 2.0  and stuff

Yah, I know. I'm pretty sure we have or had the best lb core/depth in the league. It just sucks because he's a favorite for every 49er fan. Him and Gore both, it's going to feel so weird this upcoming years. I'm bracing myself for a shit year, but hoping for the best. Also Aaron Lynch did pretty well too.
The 49ers lost quite a lot this offseason. Jed York is a moron of an owner.
Yup. Justin Smith's still in limbo. There's a good chance he'll retire. I wouldn't blame him, we're not going anywhere this upcoming season. Vernon is almost for sure going to leave after the season too. I think we can still be above. 500 though.

Byron Maxwell seems pretty overpaid, but I'm still happy he's hopefully going to be an Eagle.

Who knows about Frank Gore, I think it was smart to draft him after a ehhh season but the guy is getting old.

Now Mike Iupati is going to sign with the Cards, can we please just keep someone ffs!? Sure glad we paid to keep Kaep around though.
