wouldnt expect anything different. Sherman is a trash talker but hes also a stand up dude who came from good roots at stanford.

absolutely. The pic is actually really misleading. Tom immediately shook his hand.

I miss Football already :(

Crazy fucking game... I watched the first half with my family and then went to my boss' house for a party he was having to watch the 4th quarter. Some dude bet $500 on the Seahawks, was too drunk for his own good and flipped the fuck out. He tried fighting any of the Pats fans and tried to rip a door off its hinges. He pinned a girl down and was screaming in her face, so he got slapped by her. He looked like he was about to retaliate before one of his good friends stepped in, but then he tried punching his friend as well. He was escorted out shortly afterwards.

Fun and interesting way to end the football season... great fucking game though. Terrible last call.

He's been an analyst on NFL Network I think.... guess we've seen the last of that.

Greg Anthony also got the same charge. Well, just soliciting prostitution, not the assault I don't think

In all my years of playing and watching football, that was the worst play call I've ever seen.

When they first came out in shotgun I was initially confused. I HATE the spread offense/formation in short yardage, that's soft football. Go under center and run the ball down their throat, you have the best RB in the NFL.

The coaches in this league always seem to outsmart themselves.

It's funny seeing the Pats talk shit about winning the SB. They got lucky the last play but I did think they were the better team. Wilson is over rated as a QB

Lucky how?

I agree. Marshawn Lynch's brute force style of running the football is made for moments like those. I do, however, understand the logic behind the call. They were expecting the run but New England was clearly prepared for the pass, too.

All in all, it was an excellent game. As a 49ers fan, the outcome is bittersweet.  I've had it out for Richard Sherman all year long after last year's NFC championship game. He's a great player but it's quite refreshing to see him humbled.

Lucky they didn't try and run it three times to go one yard. Yeah the Pats interception was a good play I'll admit but still should've tried running the ball at least once
There's a good article about the statistics for that last play. Lynch is 1/5 on 1 yard punch ins. Out of 109 pass attempts from the 1, Wilson is the only one to throw a pick. But I think it's funny Carroll said he didn't want to run it against their goal line defense, when they're the 3rd worst team in goal line defense efficiency. I think the article said at 89%. I think that stat's taken from the one yard line. Let's not pretend that Butler didn't make a great play on the ball either.
Generally speaking, from a coaching standpoint, everyone saying it was a bad play call was wrong. With the time winding down and only one time out you go for the pass first because if it's incomplete the clock stops. Then you run it two times and have the TO in case of emergency.  A pass from the 1 yard line was attempted 109 times this year and it was only intercepted that one time on an incredible play by Butler.  You can say it was bad because they have Lynch but throwing first in that situation technically makes sense.

no enfyte, it was an awful call

grantland was talking about today how the patriots were 32nd in short yardage rush defense and the seahawks were top 5 in short yardage rush offense. marshawn had only been stuffed twice all game. they would of gotten the touchdown. it would of been asisine to expect the patriots to drive down the field for a TD with only 30 seconds left. i understand all they needed a FG, but you still gotta take the points 100% there if youre the seahawks

if were talking about lucky plays... how about that Kearse juggling catch. It took a lot of concentration but it also took a lot of luck for it to come down on top of him after the deflection

The situation might have dictated that he should have ran it from the start but what I am saying is that it wasn't as bad of a coaching decision as people are trying to say. On pretty much every occasion that is the correct playcall.
Oh yeah tell me about it. I couldn't believe what I saw. Patriots played a better game, despite how much I don't like them
Butler needs more credit. Incredibly risky he play he made, but it was an incredible read and reaction and even better save after what looked like what was just going to be a deflection.
It was an awesome game, but was disappointed by the commercials and the half-time show. When are they going to start picking music that appeals to people over the age of 15?
I thought the halftime show was dope.
Im fine with advertisements not having to be funny, but get that sad shit out of here

shock...-__- really?

2005 - paul mccartney

2006 - rolling stones

2008 - tom petty

2009 - springsteen

2010 - the who

and i'd argue that the black eyed peas and beyonce would appeal to a wider range of people than 15 year olds

For reals. Here I am with my beer... and this kids talking about how he's dead? The hell? Also I think there was a commercial for maxi pads, like what? Get that shit outta here lol. Edit: I was pretty upset there was no nip slip, Katy Perry had those things sewn up. They've definitely been trying to stray away from younger music though. I get putting hot girls up there, and older type music. But wtf is Missy Elliot doing up there?

Yo dawg, Missy Elliot was fire. Three of her songs are back in the top 10 now and she saw like a 1000% increase in spotify traffic.

Also, lets just book Katy Perry for every half time show. She is great.

I just wrote a long thread in the Jets forum about how most fans believe all these myths about where the team is and why they aren't true

i can't wait to get yelled by all of them lol

this. Considering the fact that the play was open and easily a touchdown without one of the best breaks on the ball you'll ever see.

people got mad cause i defended idzik lol
guys lets make a sports website

Yo I'm down as long as someone else pays for the domain, makes the site, and does literally everything else. I'll write for it tho. '

Edit: And yeah people are dumb. Idzik shouldn't have been fired. They end up hiring a Director of College Scouting who didn't even do a great job with the Texans because none of the higher profile guys probably wanted to go to them. A GM needs more than 2 years to put together their big picture and nobody is going to take that job seriously if the Jets are dumb enough to fire someone before they can even get all their pieces in place.

Respect a Legend. Missy was FOIRE!!!

FALCONS gonna do work next year. Coaching staff looking FOIRE!!

Let's go ahead and not say "foire" ever again.
