Detox :: The Final Montage | Edited by LocaL
Hey THF. I think I've said just about all I have to say about this in the video's description. I'll just paste that below.
I am overwhelmingly proud to present Detox, in his final Halo 3 montage. There's so much to say I'm not sure where to start.
Detox approached me around September of 2012 about me putting together his montage. At this time Detox had been gathering clips for almost 3 years, and being a longtime fan, I instantly accepted the project. From that day I've been putting together what you see here now, so grab some popcorn, sit back and watch in HD. I couldn't have been happier with the clips that Detox gave me, and likewise I put forth the effort to make something we're both proud of.
The ending credits were put together by Detox himself, and hopefully the messages he wrote will be seen by the people they were intended for. I know the community is not where it once was, but nevertheless it feels good to be finally releasing the montage. We hope all of you watching will enjoy, and take something away from this video.
See you around.
Songs in Order:
Of The Vine - Kinderspiel, Pt. 1
Falling Up - Islander
Yndi Halda - We Flood Empty Lakes
Cage The Elephant - Right Before My Eyes (Acoustic)

Geoff that was absolutely amazing, no words can say it better - the end made me realise how close my wrapping up of Halo is too, pretty amazing really - great job to both of you of course, you'll be missed Detox, even though I didn't know you that well, you were part of this amazing community.
Seamless is the only way to describe this video.
I don't know what Detox is packing, but I know you've got a massive bulge.
I see Falling Up. +1. I see Cage The Elephant. +2.
If the editing is anything like what you've been putting out in your last few releases, this should break records.
Props on the music, always love seeing Falling Up. Gameplay looked really good, but sometimes it's hard to tell when angles are constantly interrupting the first person pov. I'm not going to write a full review giving my opinion because the last time I did that the editor didn't want to hear it and others got super butt hurt. Regardless, it looks like you put a lot of effort into it.
The tone of the video was nice, but I could not help thinking that the last song and the credits should have felt warmer. Everything was so desaturated or blueish grey, and the song really started to pick up and get inspirational, which for me did not match what I was seeing on screen.
Editing a 10+ minute video is no small feat, so mad props for doing it and doing it well. I'll just leave one suggestion in regards to editing, with songs of the tone you used, less super close ups moving the camera around like a drunk and more smooth mid to long range angles.
