That doesn't read to me as, "it should not have been closed." It's not like you can't find a more appropriate thread to post funny pictures (like, you know, the one stickied in CoT dedicated to posting whatever you want within the NSFW rules). It just wasn't relevant in that thread.

Well tat may be somewhat true. But intelligence and restraint isnt the same thing. Just because someone is intelligent doesnt mean they can restrain themselves from saying what they think.

For example: On Pistols thread (which I did feel bad, due to the fact he lost his job), him and Nv1ncible tried to defend themselves while they were getting bashed about it. Now I dont believe its right to bash on someone who just lost their job, but they did. Nv1ncible numerous times said he was done with the conversation, yet when someone else would throw in their 2 cents saying he was wrong, he came right back with another comment.

That was the point I was trying to get across, sometimes if you just dont reply it would almost kill the tension.

I'm not talking about intra-organizational politics, I'm talking about the country at large, where free speech works, and is much better than more restrictive systems in other countries.

The internet is an information tool. Forums are even more down that line.

You're redefining the rules on what is. This isn't a place people come to expound niceties towards each other irrespective of one anothers' posts -- it's here to be insightful. No one is suggesting bullying in the intermin, or that members should seek to embarrass or humiliate one another.

But to expect everyone to telegraph hypothetical scenarios because you imposed the completely ridiculous and unrealistic rule of no admonishment, no matter what -- you can't actually think you're laying a seed for a healthy, free-community...because you're not.
