I don't see any "bullying" in there.

No idea, and I don't see any bullying in there either. I suppose another moderator thought the thread had run its course and it had turned into just spamming. I personally think it looks like acceptable fun in off topic, but someone else clearly had a different perspective on the matter and I can respect that. We'll try to iron out the details so we can all be more consistent.

Who is "interesting" and "uninteresting" isn't a variable here. Personal attacks and bullying is not permitted regardless of who is delivering it. Your fun at the expense of other members' fun is a double edge sword. It makes you feel good, it makes them feel like crap. Allowing that sort of demeanor makes the forum a worse place overall, which is why it won't be permitted.

I can see where you two are coming from if you are talking about a thread made in the H3 videos section, and instead of people giving advice and commenting back in a mature way they are actually talking sh.t about that person. But when you go to the Off Topic Section, most everyone here goes there to be entertained. They go to post random funny crap. But when people post personal stuff on there they need to realize they are going to get bashed. Its the internet, the maturity level of anyone on here is low, because its over text. People dont need to take what other people are saying to heart. I think its pointless to try to monitor any type or rants or harrassment on here, its like posting a "this is my favorite band" thread and expecting everyone to be nice about it. Everyone on here has a different opinion, and different taste, and some of the guys just take it too personal. I think a good argument is good to blow off steam, and its pointless and no ones getting hurt.

Point being there is a difference between a good, well structured argument (go check Debate section) and mindless flaming -- not pointing any fingers, but this is clearly what the thread/moderation comeback is about.

I agree with the first half of your post, principally. People know what to expect from the off-topic section.

Calling someone an idiot with points to back up your claim is not mindless flaming.

I don't expect COT to have the same quality of content as other aspects of the forum. A lot of it is mindless fun and lulz, and that's absolutely fine. But it can't be at the expense of others.I don't expect people to go out of their way to be nice to someone they're arguing with, but directly bullying, and personally attacking the individual is not permitted.

@Bacon..thats true I guess. But its the internet, everyone should just chill and not take some of the things said to heart. I can see monitoring certain things, but Knox is right. No one is truly getting hurt by being called retarded or ignorant. Even being called a d.ck or a douche will hurt. But people take everything to heart. Its the off topic section, what are they expecting?
