| First thing to do should be to get yourself fit. |
| Most of the time you'll be conditioning in high school so try joining a side team or something to develop your skills. Film can help too. I wasn't into soccer back then or else i would have at least done a season of soccer when i was in high school. |
| Haha when I played football I could basically do every position (I played for NAC, which is like THE team where I live). I always got put as a central striker because I could shoot terribly hard and aim very well. I loved playing midfield or right wing striker, though. I was usually the gamemaker and was top scorer behind two others when I played right wing (did striker and midfield really) and was top scorer when I got put central. Too bad I stopped. I still don't know why I did it, but I did. :/ Could be really good now. I could never use both feet well, though.I also was a goalie for the first 2 years I played football at an amateur club in my town. Broke someones nose by stopping the ball. He fell over me and faceplanted. |
| I used to play rec soccer when I was little. It was technically called 'zone soccer' or something. I think there were 9 zones that 1 kid was assigned to. Basically, 'stand here and do stuff if the ball comes into your zone', a goalie, and then the 11th player was a rover that could just run wherever they wanted. I never got to be the rover and it was boring as f.ck so I quit and haven't played a game of soccer, organized or not, since |
