Ya I was playing with my roommate. I've been golfing this summer right around 10 times, which is the most I've golfed in a long time. I can tell my game is improving slowly but surely. I'm thinking about getting some lesson, not sure if I want to spend the money though.

are any of your friends golfers? if so, ask them about it. it would be way easier and not cost anything to get some pointer from them. also, if theres a course you go to often, ask around there. there is a course by my house where a lot of amateur pro golfers work, they help out and give pointers to a lot of people that go there. but looking into lessons is another way to get solid help that probably holds a little more ground. it depends a lot on how much you want to improve your game

thers also a lot more surface for the ball to hit on a drive that could change the spin of it. if you arent trusting your driver, play a 2 iron or 3 iron off the tee if its a 400 yard+ hole. you might lose some yardage on your drive, but i would rather be 50 yards shorter in the fairway than 50 yards longer, 20 yards in the trees

Makes sense I guess, I really need to take some lessons to fix it. Just frustrating because like I said I hit my irons and wedges perfectly every time, oh and my putter too. :P

Alright! In the middle of my round 2 days ago, I dislocated my left shoulder and had to stop. MRI yesterday shows a tear in the ligament. Yay surgery + pin - golf until August!

Doctor today said I may need surgery, but PT might fix the problem if I'm religious about it. What do you guys think?

Surgery:
Pros - Completely fixes the problem, get to sit on my ass for 2 weeks, and will be 80% in August
Cons - Have to sit on my ass for 2 weeks, won't really play golf until 2012, other than light swinging/putting, and 10% chance of the surgeons fucking me up

PT:
Pros - Get to continue to play golf for the year, get to be active for the rest of the summer, and will also motivate me to get back into toning
Cons - May not fix the problem 100%, will have to work almost every day, and very slight chance of me completely fucking up my shoulder.

My goal would to be to do PT until the end of golf season, then surgery after that, but I'll be 1000 miles from home and in college... Could do it over winter break though... IDK

How did you dislocate your shoulder golfing? Wtf? That sucks balls man so sorry to hear that.

I have horrible knees and almost had surgery on one a while back, my doctor as well as many medical professionals in my family gave me the advice that surgery should always be your last ditch effort.

I'd do the surgery cause I'm a lazy fuck.

Just got done with glowball again, played so well lol I don't get it. Shot +10 which is really good for me.

Playing a really difficult course on Wed with some of my groomsmen, should be a blast. We're all 10-15 handicap so might just play best ball.

75. I believe that it's my lowest round ever. I bogey'd 16 and 17 though . I had 3 birdies and an eagle, the eagle was awesome. Par 5, perfect drive, 3 wood nice draw pin high about 20 feet, dropped the putt. I had birdied the hole before too so it was a nice little streak to get back to +1 on the day. Good round I hate how I'm disappointed with the 75.
