Are you guys confident with your goal-keepers? I honestly don't think I would be. One of the only reason why you guys are THAT good is because of your defensive squad, not your goalies. I used to pay attention to the number of shots in pretty much every game and everytime a team was playing against Detroit, the opponent had less than 25shots, with only a few exceptions. That's pretty much the main reason why both of your goalies (I have both Osgood and Hasek in my Hockey pool, I know what I'm talking about ahah) have good GAAs, but not so amazing Save%. Anyway, I'm not saying you guys have a terrible team, cuz playing against Detroit is pain in the ass, but I wouldn't be too confident with the two goalies, especially in playoffs where they might get tired (they're both grand-pa' ) and where they'll receive more shots than usual.
Osgood is 10th in the league in save percentage so that's not horrible. Hasek is a beast when the pressure mounts and Osgood has pulled through many times in the playoffs. Everything changes then and Detroit has the experience (good and bad experience) to pull it off. As long as they get all their players back they are going to be the force to recken with like they have been all season. Plus that good ol GAA average . . . number one and number two goalies in the league baby. We are a defensive machine when we have all the damm pieces on the ice.
Osgood has never cracked under pressure and the reason the Wings haven't done sh*t in the playoffs lately (save for last year which was decent) is because they could never score. When Legace and Cujo left the team, they both got bad raps for letting in "key goals"; they wouldn't have been key goals if the Wings had had any kind of offense going - you can't win when you're scoring 2 goals max per game. This year, it's quite different.
