are there any advantages/disadvantages to the file types you can record in? or are they all the same... m2ts, ts, mp4... which is best to cap in and why.... i also just drag directly into vegas after capturing if that changes anything
i could test this myself but i wanna know if anyone has already |

I have sony vegas 10. So to be completely good with all of this.
1. Capture in .m2ts 2. Import into Vegas 3. Render in uncompressed AVI and MP3 4. Use Megui. After all of that I can go and edit my halo clips in a montage with no lag and high quality? Also after editing in After Effects do I just render and upload to YouTube or use MegUi and upload. Thanks. |

The converted avi's as well as the m2ts and ts videos all play fine in wmp, it's only trying to get them in vegas where I have the problem. Like I said the m2ts and ts just instantly crash vegas. With the avi's only the audio shows up which idk why because my sd avi files work fine. EDIT: Ok figured out it was a driver issue making the m2ts files crash vegas, I had to install an older driver. ALright I made my own thread but because people seem to be helping out often in this thread I'm going to post my problem.
I have the Hauppauge Colossus (The internal one) and I am attempting to follow this tut but I am running into a few problems. These are my format settings on the program it came with Arcsoft showbiz (cant change anything, it automatically switches back to 8mb/s) ![]() And this is what my main capturing screen looks like. As you can see my bitrate is stuck at 8 mb/s ![]() I am using the program as it is right off the disc (It updated when I used it yesterday with no noticeable differences) Do I need any type of additional add-on or anything? Thanks |
