Dazzle 100 :: Capturing Tutorial First off, here are the things you need to buy. 1) Dazzle Digital Video Creator Plus (Dazzle 100). Best buy is probably the best place to buy it if you don't like ebay. It will cost you about $65. ![]() 2) Microsoft S-Video Cable. Notice that this cable does not have the required component wires in order to play in HD on an HDTV. Do not buy this cable if you are on an HDTV. This will ruin the quality on your TV. Instead, buy the cable below this one. ![]() ![]() ![]() The following items are only if you would like to have audio. If not, just scroll down. 3) Audio Y-Adapter. Very cheap product. It will cost no more than $10 and can be found at radioshack, best buy, etc. ![]() 4) 6 Foot Extension for the Item above. It will cost about $5 and can be found at any local electronics store. ![]() Now, it is time to set up your capture card. First, replace your xbox cable with the s-video cable that you have. Plug in all of your wires except for the white audio cable and s-video (black circle). Plug the s-video into your dazzle and the white audio cable into your Audio Y-Adapter. Plug the 6 Foot Extension onto the adapter and into your computer. Plug the USB from your dazzle into your computer as well. Now, here is what you need to do. Open up Virtual Dub. Then go to File > Capture AVI. Go to Video > Preview. Go to Video > Capture Filter and click the tab that says Video Proc Amp. These are my settings. Yours may be different. You have to play with it until you like what you see. Halo 2 and Halo 3 Settings: Brightness - 131 Contrast - 32 Hue - 64 Saturation - 36 Sharpness - 0 Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Settings: Brightness - 104 Contrast - 32 Hue - 64 Saturation - 40 Sharpness - 0 Then, click OK. Go to Audio > Audio Input > Master Volume. Then, go back to Audio > Audio Source > Audio Line. Finally, go to Audio and at the bottom, you should see an option that says Line In. Go ahead and click on that. Finally, you are ready to capture. Once you're done capturing, use this method to Deinterlace and Compress. (Link below) If you need help using this method, you can send me a message on aim. http://www.halo3forum.com/montage-vi...-one-step.html The only thing different about my way is that I have a different script. Try the one provided first but if it doesn't work, try this one. Directshowsource("capture.avi")ConvertToYUY2()Load Plugin("msu_fieldshiftfixer.dll")MSU_FieldShiftFix er(1,0,0)ConvertToRGB24() You can just copy and paste it. Compress your clips at 5,000kbps and for your audio, go to Audio > Full Processing Mode and just leave your audio uncompressed. If you plan on re-rendering in Vegas, compress your clips at 8,000kbps so that you won't lose as much quality. Once you've done all that, just go to File > Save as AVI, let it render, and you're done. If you need to deinterlace for CoD, use this tutorial. http://www.halo3forum.com/montage-video-help/246768-tutorial-how-batch-deinterlace-yadif.html Your quality should look like this. http://www.filefront.com/13961395/Da...0-Quality.avi/ If you have any questions, talk to me on aim. (PhiZZyyyyyy) Enjoy! Thanks to low strife for his tutorial and KayEmX for providing me with the script. Last edited by GOD; 01-10-2011 at 10:39 PM. |

When I go to my devices in vdub, it says Dazzle DVC 100 so I'm guessing that this is the newer version of what you have.
