Seeing how it was Ensemble Studio's last game ever, I say they did a hell of job.

The whole game was a fail. Huge disapointment. A waste of my $60.

Halo Wars was kind of like a Halo version of Command and Conquer. I started hoping for a Halo version of Star Wars Battlefront 2.

Well they need to get back for the Spartan numbers during Reach to be ok. So maybe they get there and are thrown into the fight and killed before they get to talk to ONI? Or ONI keep it secret? And the Jiralhanae were the 2nd alien type ever seen by humans, on Harvest.

Well, the Flood and Brutes being make sense especially with how the game ended. The Brutes were involved with the Covenant's first contact with the UNSC at Harvest, this was mention on the level Ander's Signal. At that point in the the Brutes were still a minor part in the Covenant higherarchy. The Flood being on that Sheild World is never explained but not impossible. Because the Spirit of Fire sacrificed their FTL to desrtoy the Flood they are unable to return to UNSC controlled space in a reasonable amount of time.
