Hello.

This montage has been planned for over a year now and Flashgabe’s trailer for this montage was released a little more than a year ago.

This dualtage has been in the editing process for at least 5 months and is hands down the hardest thing I have ever edited. During this time, I felt that I’ve really progressed as an editor and am satisfied with the outcome of this montage. However, during this time of release, I cannot fully appreciate it for what it is due to the excessive amount of render watches. Maybe someday I may be able to appreciate my 5 months of work.

All the people I would like to thank or shout out are in the credits. These people include anybody who helped shape this montage (or even tried to), friends that have supported me, players I have edited for, and a few others for different reasons.

Before I end this message, I would like to give the biggest thanks to both Cause of Hell and Toasty for their great personalities, support, and for giving me their clips to edit. It’s been a pleasure working with them.

edit: oh. wow. that was.... awesome.

fucking bitches. both songs were just perfect! i'm downloading all 3 right now, they were so chill (although i think i have the rush song). the gameplay was AAAAHHHH! throughout the entire thing, like seriously great (and yeah, i hate reach so thats saying something). in particular- the last clip was sex and that ns overkill ricochet into killtac. holy shit. and the editing, damn that was zhestal's best work. it flowed so nice with the gameplay and a lot of the effects were visual orgasms. so yeah, i kinda liked this a lot.

EDIT : Clips were fucking nuts, edit was wonderful. I recognized some of CoH's clips, and a few of toasty's from the sick clips thread but I only ever saw pics before, and they were all insane. I love that music but not what I prefer in montages. but damn you guys are good at that game.

Ohhhhh my god in heaven. Best reach tage to this date. The gameplay is just unbelievable, I can never do that in reach. The editing is just sick nasty. The transition on the pink guy was amazing samething with the intro, and the credits were the best credits i have ever seen. AMAZING job to all of you sexy beast's.

That was great zhestal. It seemed like you didn't miss any of the syncing points and you not only had good angles but incorporated them very effectively. The gameplay was of high quality; however, the asylum exterms started to get quite monotonous after a while. The only other thing I didn't like about this was the intro, which was pretty lackluster compared to the quality of the montage. Still a great video and one that kept me entertained for the entire run time. Great stuff guys.

That was freaking awesome. So many parts I just had to rewatch to see how you did that and appreciate the level of creativity in the montage. Gameplay was just insane like the editing and overall this video had me engaged all the way to the end. Fantastic job Zhestal, you're making me want to learn to edit even more.

Wow, I did not expect the edit to be the best part of this, but it absolutely was imo. Zhestal, that was seriously amazing. The song+clips flowed so well together and you made even boring shotgun kills fun to watch because everything was synced to perfection. I loved all the screen shaking and blurring and transitions and all that good stuff (can you tell i don't edit? lol), and thought the effects went perfectly with the music and never tried to do too much. The edit did nothing but accentuate the gameplay, which is pretty rare in these type of tages these days. I don't think this tage wouldn't have been nearly as good as it was if it wasn't edited the way you did. Amazing job 10/10.

As for the gameplay, most of it was really good, as expected. Some clips were just completely nuts, a handful were a tad bit of a letdown knowing what you two are capable of. Like always, I'll say I was disappointed that the entire montage was all sniper and shotty, but I wasn't expecting a whole lot more than that, it'd just be nice to see you guys mix things up from time to time because you have so much skill. It was nice to see a decent map diversity though, with a handful of anniversary maps in there and such. Overall the gameplay was very good, and met my high expectations. Good job guys.

9/10 overall. Definitely one of the better Reach videos to come out, I'll be watching this again fasho

That was ridiculous. A reach video just entertained me for 10 minutes. Clips and editing were unbelievable. Good job to everyone involved. Songs were a nice change from the usual montages as well. Toast I didn't get a thanks. This will not go unpunished.
