I just feel like telling this story. It really made my day.

A friend (Fyb3r0ptik) and I were just having some fun in matchmaking, playing some normal Team Slayer. After a few matches we get matched up with an Inheritor (I wont post his gamertag unless you ask). The first thing I do for really high ranks is check their K/D/A. This guy was very negative. The game ends up being Slayer DMR's on Boardwalk and we stop him hard. We didn't trash talk at all, or even T-bag for that matter, but when the game ended he proceeded to rant about how we were "lil' bitches" who "had no skill". Typical right? Then he made a great statement: "I don't mess wid dem DMahs. I roll wid my assault rifle." Both of us thought this was great. He threw out insults and called us unspeakable names because we "ran like lil bitches" and "wouldnt stay an' fight". He stuck with us and we were paired against him next game: Slayer on Asylum. After a good bit of trash talking we issued a challenge. "If you're so good with the assault rifle, proove it." The entire game he used the assault rifle, rather poorly if I may add, and got completely trounced. We managed to snipe him over and over. Thanks to proximity voice, I got a hint at some of the stuff he was saying. Then the best statement of all time blared through my earphones:
(And I quote) "Anybody can snipe a mothafucka"
He went very negative that game.

That phrase is now my all time favorite quote.

Just something I thought I'd post. It was probably the highlight of my Reach career, made me laugh for a good 15-20 minutes.


Moral of the story:
RANK MEANS NOTHING IN REACH! O_o #epiphanyface

Inheritors, in my experience, are all nothing but AFKers and boosters. Almost none of them are legit, and an even fewer number can hold their own. I've played the occasional badass Inheritor, but those guys are few and far between.

And I lol'd. "Anybody can snipe a mothafucka."

I suppose the follow-up statement is, "But not everyone can AR-beatdown."

so true we need true skill back. The right to Inheritor should be for great players and not people who play alot.

He actually followed up with a statement pretty similar to that. "It takes real skill to kick your ass at close-range."

It's just a name for how many points he has. I've probably gotten like 5 rank ups in reach, I basically play it less than once a month and get pretty decent ratings when I play. It's just a name.

am i the only one who doesnt give a rats ass about a rank, dude... a rank, really?! you need to compare yourselves against people you dont know... to see how good/bad you are to them. sounds pretty dumb to me, you wanna prove yourself so bad? go to an event, other than that ranks online are like poop
