Just completed the Reach Legendary Campaign on solo. This thread is for discussion and help on soloing the legendary campaign for the "Monument to all your sins" achievement.
Soloing on legendary took me roughly 11 hours. Did it on my first time through. Several parts had me nerd raging. Didn't really get stuck completely but there were several occasions where I had to redo 10 or more times to get through. Some thoughts or suggestions for those attempting would be as follows: - Don't get caught without a weapon or ammo ever. Ammo is extremely scarce - hunt around the level for it. If anything a needler is better than nothing. - Charged Plasma bolts from the plasma pistol make quick work of the elites when used in conjunction with the pistol or dmr. - The marine / noble team AI is essentially beyond stupid but can be useful for pulling aggro and distracting enemies- hence giving you an opportunity to flank or use similar tactics to gain an upper hand (especially for encounters with hunters). - Save grenades and power weapons (Rockets, plasma launcher, fuel rod cannon, laser) for occasions when they're direly needed. Wasting them on regular elites, grunts, or jackals will leave you in a tough spot later when you're required to face a wraith, hunter, or elite zealot. - The drop shield is likely the most useful armor ability given that it can block some amount of damage (not much regarding fuel rod bolts though) and it can recharge you health. Having full health is essential given that it is often the determining factor in getting away or finishing a battle 1 shot up on enemies. - Checkpoints, checkpoints, checkpoints... Get to the next checkpoint Often times clearing out even a portion of enemies and shifting your position on the map will grant you a checkpoint and hence save your progress. Feel free to post in this thread for help if you're stuck or to discuss various parts of the legendary campaign.

If i remember correctly I didn't get a huge "one time" payout of 25,000 credits when i finished. However each mission I finished with between 2500 and 3500 Credits... Extrapolate that to 3000 cR x 9 (missions) and you'd end up with 27,000. I also got the 5000 cR for beating 9 campaign missions in 1 week ( weekly challenge) so I ended up with around 32,000 cR for doing the campaign.

Lol that part is terrible. (Assuming you are referencing the end of the pillar of autumn). You need to focus on taking out whatever phantoms are nearest you and prioritize your shots as the length recharge to shoot is fairly long. You can't miss a shot (you'll run out of time and the banshees / phantoms will get too close). Also as soon as you finish a shot, start recharging the turret immediately.

Doing it now. Just finished the 3rd level and is it just me or are the other spartans/marines retarded when it comes to getting into the warthog? I mean, I would be right next to them, honking the horn, and they would just stand there. So fucking dumb....

LMAO on tip of the spear I tried letting Kat drive and she ended up driving me around in 3 circles and then off a cliff within a span of 30 seconds. Weeooowww. The marine and noble team AI is pretty terrible... Only good for cannon fodder really. |
