Which character died the coolest way? The lamest way?
I think heavy weapons guy had the coolest.
Cyborg chick died pretty lamely, though. "I'm about to finish this sent-" HEADSHOT. Pretty unexpected, though

I immediately said "BOOM! Headshot!" when it happened, then lol'd. I like the way you die in the end though.

Kat's was unexpected
Carter's was just meh and anticlimactic
Emile's was even more anticlimactic

the one thing that bugs the absolute balls outta me is how it completely re-writes the canon... i mean really. wtf happened to all the other spartan 2's then if the book is virtually obsolete?

Has anyone else noticed that Jun doesn't die?
He got in the pelican with Halsey and that's the last you hear of either one of them, except for Halsey's monologue at the very end.
Unless I'm mistaken, he doesn't die or they mention it briefly but I don't think they do

I noticed it as well. It's implied that he died since he isn't with Halsey and the other Spartan II's at CASTLE Base in the Fall of Reach.

That book was written nearly ten years ago, though, so the story may have changed. It's possible he survived, I guess.

Jorge is also floating in space with a covenant ship, so he's alive? I mean, he could easily fly to another planet (because the likes of Capt. Keyes and Masterchief could also fly in a banshee or even a huge Covenant drop ship. So he is probably able aswell, as he's a Spartan.
