If you've been following this blog stream it's a new halo game or something. H3R is a prologue to the events in Halo 3 that tells the story from an all-new perspective: an ODST recon marine.

Bungie has several projects underway within the studio, one of which is a brand new campaign experience for Halo 3 that we teased (link to teaser story) two weeks ago. Now, at long last, we can lift the shroud of secrecy and shed a little more light on what we've been working on.

We'll have more to say later, but for now, check out our official announcement trailer which builds upon the teaser and provides new insights into what awaits next Fall.

Just looks like a fancey SMG.

And I think it takes place,
at the end of H2 and the begining of H3,
Just in a marine PoV.

There probably won't be any. Marines(even ODSTs) don't rate high enough for an expensive piece of equipment like a shield generator.

They didn't say anything about multiplayer yet so let's not get our hopes up...

If Master Chief came down in that dropship he would do a 360 BXZ on one of the brutes, make a salto over the other one stucking him in the balls, then the other the Brutes run into him with a RAAAAWR but he jumps up at the last second making them bump into each other, pulling out his Battle Rifle BXRing the one Brute and quadshotting the other, and then the last Brute runs away begging for his mommy.

But the ODST guy thinks: 'nah i'm a p.ssy'.
