I WILL BE RELEASING FORGE HELP VIDEOS VERY SOON.


This is where you ask all your questions about forge.
And I will be Posting Text Tuts on all questions asked.

TUTS



New Maps
  • Sheild Doors/Floating objects without stacking them
  1. Hold the sheid door/Double box/single box/Fence wall ect.. where you want it...
  2. Press Start...Save Changes
  3. Without closing the start menu, press end game
  4. Start back up ur map and it will be floating where you were holding it.
  • Merging Objects
  1. Place object ex. double box where you want to merge it.
  2. Set that object to "Place at Start: NO" and "Respawn Time: X" (X= how ever long you want to position ur next object.)
  3. Press Start, And Press Start New Round
  4. Now turn into Forge and go to where you placed your first object(you should see its little spawn point.)
  5. Place your next object so that it will intersect your first one
  6. Wait, untill(however you set the respawn time too) the first object spawns
  7. change your first object to "Place at Start: YES"
  8. Your Done
  • Merging Objects With Map Geometry (Door Method)
  1. Place object (box or whatever) where ever you want it
  2. this step is optional, but Recomended - Completly Surround the object you want to merge into the walls or the ground, except for the side opposite to where you want to merge it.
  3. Place Doors ontop on the object you want merged ( either top down or on the side)
  4. Wait a few seconds to make sure the doors are settled
  5. Now Quickly grab and release the object you want merged
  6. Wait untill settled
  7. Place Doors closer to object then repeat steps ( 4&5 )
  8. Your Done
  9. PS, it doesnt work great, be prepared to be mad

All Maps
  • Making Floating Bases
  1. Make a stack of Crates (or Containers if your on Last Resort)
  2. Place a Receiver Node on top, wait untill it stops moving
  3. Delete all the Crates/Containers
  4. Now repeat Steps 1-3 until your satisfied(you can use Sender/Two-Way Nodes too)
  5. Then you can place Crates on top of your Teleporters, and if you want them unmoveable then either place a Receiver Node or Weapon Holder on top.
  • Instant Spawning (Great for Fusion Coils)
  1. Spawn a Fusion Coil (will work with all equipment/exploives)
  2. As Monitor Press "X" on the Fusion Coil
  3. Using the Thumbstick go Right
  4. Then Set the "Run Time Minimum to the highest it can go
  5. Then Poof and u have instant respawning objects
Now if you want them to fall from the sky
  1. Stack a bunch of crates/ or wat ever
  2. and place a Fusion coil on top
  3. Wait a bit untill it stops moving
  4. Delete whatever is under it
  5. and change it to instant respawn (tut above)
  6. now it will keep falling
  • Teleporter Tapping (aka. pushing tele through ground/wall)
  1. CANNOT BE HOST
  2. Spawn a teleporter...i like to use Two-Ways (just so you can still grab it)
  3. Hold the Right Trigger, and Push the teleporter as far from you into the ground/wall as possible.
  4. keep looking at the teleporter and Tap A rapidly (aka. drop-pickup-drop-pickup...)
  5. Now if the Teleporter isnt through the surface, then your probably Host.

This isnt a bad thread for people who are new to forge. A lot these simple techniques can be used to create intricate and complex maps. Good job man, write some more simple techniques so we can get the forge section up and running.

add teleporter tapping.
(u cant have host) spawn a node and put it against the surface that u want it to go through. Then keep tapping 'A'. (drop, pickup, drop, pickup... ect.)The node should go right through. go directly on top of the node so u wont drop it. - something like that
