The BR looks cooler now, but sounds like a toy.

I highly agree. You can't just knock the AR out. Of course the BR is superior, but depends on the distance. Personally, if I have both and somebody is close, I pull out the AR every time, even if they are one shot. You have much better control with it at close range.

I would like to point out that the Carbine sucks ass now, and I would almost take the AR over the Carbine long distance. Almost. But definitely medium-close distance I would pick the AR.

by just reading the title of this thread i know that this forum is quickly turning into the bungie.net forums

in alot of games, i'd go for both unless a shotgun is avaliable (to replace the AR). depends on my mood, the map, game type and situation i guess. i use to like the AR more cos you started with it and is pretty much used by all players the most, but after all the BR starts have been added sincem the game came out, i like the BR more now.
