This thread is intended for all questions you may have when playing Halo 3. Got a question about something? Post it and someone might help you out(or PM me) but don't make a thread on it.(If you want to make a thread on a question, ask first)

You'll find a lot of commonly asked questions/answers in the threads provided. When new threads are made to help others and you think they deserve to be on this list, let another moderator(listed at the bottom in red) or myself know and we'll check it out.

This is fairly new so don't expect all your questions to be answered right away, we all want to play the game, so please be patient.

Matchmaking Ranks
When you start to rank up(military rank), it might be confusing at first.
Here is an example:

You'll notice that most of the ranks have different grades, it will take you longer to move up in your military ranking if your level isn't high enough to proceed.
It's really not that difficult to understand but if you need help, just PM/IM me about it and I'll explain.

Armor Help

[Samurai Armor=6 skulls, Samurai Helmet is unlockable through collecting all 13 skulls.)

All skulls are attainable through co-op mode as well as single player.
Other skulls attained can be used(turned on) when trying to get other skulls.
Getting the skulls as soon as possible is your best bet since some skulls are affected by load points.

Can ONLY get attained through Normal mode and up.
Gold skull abilites can be turned on and of, they are achievements to get them all.
You MUST start a level from it's beginning to be able to find the skull, otherwise it won't be there.
Once you get the skull, you may quit the level.

Terminal Help
You MUST go through all the text(just smash A) until it goes red and freaks out. Have some patience, most people don't wait all the way through and then complain that they didn't get the achievement.

I'm fairly certain that the terminals can be accessed on any level of difficulty, correct me if I'm wrong.

WTF is the Steaktacular medal?
The Steaktacular Medal is a Halo 3 medal earned by winning a multiplayer game by 20 or more kills. The Description, 'Luke owes you a steak dinner', comes from a Bungie Humpday Challenge where a steak dinner was bet over a game, in which Will bet that he could beat
another team led by Mike by at least 20. He lost 50-5. points.

When you pick up a turret, and you can in the saved films feature.

I have a question as well, I'm seeing how to unlock the Marc V helmet but how do you unlock the body and shoulders?
