Should be an option in your user cp to delete your avatar, I don't know if you tried that. Did you try putting in a new one?Any answer about deleting my avatar?
I just deleted it and now look at this garbage I'm stuck with. I went into MS Paint and made just one gray pixel in the top left and scaled the pic down to the one pixel and uploaded that for an "avatar" (thinking it would shrink my avatar to 1 pixel and therefore it would effectively be no avatar) and I got a giant grey box that's the same size as my current default one, but just all grey. Ideally, I'd like absolutely nothing there. See how it looked on the old site with nothing?
If possible, I'd like that here. I care an irrational amount about this.
@xyox
The reason I'm requiring some kind of avatar is twofold. One, it maintains visual consistency when viewing posts. That way we don't have one post profile that is 300px tall and another that is only 100px tall. It all has to do with keeping a consistent appearance. It's the same reason avatars are set to be scaled and cropped to exactly 200x200.
The second reason I want to require an avatar is because it makes you easily identifiable. People start learning to recognize you quickly just based on your avatar. They hardly need to look for your name because they're so familiar with the avy that they know who's post they're seeing right away.
Obviously the randomly generated avatars are similar in style, but they're just there as a filler and hopefully encourage people to set their own.
I have no plans to remove the avatar requirement, so I'm sorry it bothers you so much. Like slater said, just make an image with a blue background to match the post profile area. The hex code for that color is: #1B223F
Okay I totally understand your reasoning. I was just kinda annoyed that I'd asked like 4 times and kept getting ignored lol. It makes sense and while obviously I'd like to have it my way, I get why I can't. I'll just take Slater's suggestion, thanks for the color code :)
Also you know how on the old site when there were new posts since you'd last viewed a thread, the thread title would be bolded? And then back to normal if there were no new posts? Is there something similar like that planned or available in settings for here? It was nice to be able to just give it a quick glance and see what threads have had more activity since the previous visit.
can there be an option when viewing all topics to have a color for which topic they are in
This is a good idea. I'll see what I can come up with.

I wasn't ignoring you, I just had bigger fish to fry.
We actually do have a new/updated thread indicator. It's the green border on the left hand side of the threads. It's possible that most of the threads have one if you haven't read a lot of them. But the one's you've read won't have the border.

This is simply my opinion, but the "like" counter on the thread is kind of misleading, at first glance I assumed the thread itself had garnished however many likes, but to my dismay I could not figure out how to like it myself. I now know the count goes off comment likes within the thread of course, but I can't help but think the thread should have its own counter rather than being a reflection of the witty "commenters".
That's all, simply my opinion and take it as that. I really like what you have gone and done with this place. <3
Any plans to add tapatalk support?
If not, can we at least have an option to save username/password on mobile?
Maybe it's a safari thing but I have to login each time when on iphone/ipad
As far as I know tapatalk is not an option with this package, however mobile browsing should be a decent enough experience.
As for the login, I'll leave that to nv1. I personally havent experienced that, am on chrome mobile. Have you cleared cache and such?
My suggestion is have the "last post" link be bigger, I've already misclicked on the names instead of the arrow out of lazy inaccuracy lolwe've made a "Last Post" clickable text in there to the right of the thread title to replace the function of the arrow symbol
oh okay, didn't notice there was a second link. thanks for the heads up
Is there a way to see the most recent posts on the forum? This is normally how I navigated. The old site. I see the "New Threads" on the right, but is that the same thing? Also I only see 5. I guess this might fall under the "forum search" category. Anyway, the rest of the site is snappy and modern looking, *thumbs up*
The main forum landing page (/forum) is the equivalent of "Today's Posts".

Ah thanks, exactly what I was looking for :D
I think it would be nice if we could see who liked our post. A dislike option wouldn't be bad, either.Lots of people have brought it up. I could probably do that. You can unlike a post simply by clicking the link again.
I think he meant more like a neg rep type option, a "I didn't like this post" button.
Dislike button would bring too many negative vibes.
To show dislike, it is customary to give the user a -rep telling said user to kill himself, and then shame the user publicly with a post. Why ruin THF tradition?
Related, I think the option to like posts and +rep posts (when we get the feature) is potentially redundant, so perhaps they should be linked in some way...I don't know, just a thought.
