So is him running the ball not a part of football? Even if you were right (and I don't agree with you at all,) him "just running the ball" to two straight super bowl appearances in his first 3 years in the league is better than most QB's can say about a 15 year career.
inb4 Wilson's only good because of Lynch, Lynch is only good because of Wilson, Offense is only good because of defense, defense is only good because they control the clock, etc etc.

Also, where the fuck do people get the notion that Wilson's a bad passer? It's completely false.
Him running the ball is apart of football, it's the only reason he's relevant. Don't give me that "oh but he's made two super bowl appearances" shit. Yeah let's go throw a shit load of interceptions against green bay but still make it because of his defense. Put him on another team and see how he does. Dude is talked about more than Luck
Did Andrew Luck not throw 4 picks in a postseason game?

postseason performance is next to meaningless (in terms of evaluating QBs) anyway, as it's not a big enough sample size. but if you're going to bring postseason into it, Wilson's postseason stats completely blow Luck's out of the water.
Wilson: 123-202 (60.9%), 1820 yards, 9.1 Y/A, 12 TD, 6 INT, 97.8 rating
Luck: 147-260 (56.5%), 1829 yards, 7.0 Y/A, 9 TD, 12 INT, 70.8 rating
last year was the first year you could actually say Luck was better. Wilson had a better CMP%, higher Y/A, higher TD% rates, comparable INT% rates, etc. in 2012-13.
Wilson isn't up there with Rodgers/Manning/etc. in terms of passing, but people almost treat him like he's another Michael Vick, which is asinine. Vick was a shitty passer (save for 2010). Wilson's easily an above average passer.
I question whether people who doubt Wilson's passing ability have actually watched the Seahawks play football. Outside of the postseason this year where he was admittedly pretty bad, he has been way above average. It doesn't show up statistically, but his mechanics, ball placement, decision making, etc are up there with any of the elite QB's in the league. He would do just fine on any other team.
It shows up statistically (Y/A, TD%, CMP%, etc.). People just look at counting stats instead of rate stats.
Stephen Hill is an idiot, Panthers fans in general have way too much confidence in a team that was 7-8-1 last year but we definitely improved. I think 10-6 is probably our absolute ceiling if everything goes right and Stewart stays healthy. The NFCS still sucks so we should win it by default but things can go wrong.
It sucks that the sport section is kinda dying. The move over to this new site didn't really help us much.
Yeah I better focus all of my attention on Carolina because clearly people don't have the capacity to speak about two teams at once. I have no doubts of the 49ers talent but a team with that much turnover is just unlikely to do well, and i'm not even talking about just the players. You have a brand new coaching staff. There is a serious mental aspect of this game that you aren't considering. The team is already going in knowing the cards are stacked against them and I doubt their talent will shine through such a negative atmosphere until at least next year. Good luck.

You take things way too seriously. Lighten the fuck up lmfao. The carolina thing was a joke because I like carolina. You're overthinking this mental aspect considering the fact that Harbaugh came in and brought a 7-9 team to 13-3 during a lockout season. Turnover isn't always bad buddy. Plus the staff isn't completely new considering the fact that the headcoach, offensive coordinator, and defensive coordinator were on the staff for years and already have a rapport with the players in terms of what scheme to run that fits the personnel they have. Yeah a few key players have gone, but there's been an abundance of talent in those positions. The only thing that needed to be changed in San Francisco were the off field issues and offense, and both are being addressed. There's reason to be optimistic as I am, and there's reason to feel the way you feel, neither of us is completely wrong. But what I do know is my dawgs are going to turn a lot of heads and i'll be loling. And if they don't, I'll still be laughing. :D
