Thing is, if you listened to good rap, you wouldn't think this shit is so bright. They're not absolute retards, I'll give you that, but the only reason you see so much "intellect" in them is because they learned that writing rap is more intriguing when it's presented in a more fragmented way where the listener is given the opportunity to draw the brush strokes between scripted segments. A lot of the rappers that you probably listened to rap in a very literal, spoonfeed, this-this-this way. There's barely any metaphors in that world because its citizens haven't delved into their importance and potential. These rappers are just one easy step ahead from the cess-pool of retard gimmicks, and that really isn't so impressive when it's STILL about that drug-push, cap-bust, bitch-fuck mentality. I'm currently also listening to Kendrick lamar's new piece, and I must say although I've barely listened to him, at least he's trying to make a statement, and that's most important when you're an artist. Do you want to listen to these mooks and be inspired to be driven in circles in the same lifestyle that you see yourself surrounded by? Or do you want to be inspired spiritually, creatively and positively to improve yourself and your life? Don't get me wrong, listen to what you want to listen to, I'm just trying to bring some food for your thinker.

p.s. The lines you posted really aren't that impressive man... Although I must say rap lines seems a lot better/clever when you're high than when you're sober, keep that in mind.

I'll say it again for anyone who didn't read it but these niggas is doin what they rap about and they actually rapping about it, not that trap/drill scene shit and that's why I fuck with it heavy.

I was saying these guys are one measly step ahead of the people who spoon-feed you. Although this shit is really not as smart as I projected it/you make it out to be. Listen to Qwel, Murs, Atmosphere, Qwazaar, KRS-1, Zack De La Rocha, ANYONE from the large roster of artists that can actually inspire you and you wouldn't be typing that bullshit. Speaking against the positivity in the movement is spitting on your own music's roots. How the fuck can people discuss K. Lamar's album cover and then listen to the music that resembles everything it's criticizing? With the same logic that your narced little skull can't see past its decrepit environment. I'm not trying to hate on the music, this is on you.

I relate to it so I listen to it. If it makes you feel "dumb" , you never been in their type of situation before. The whole hook to that track is fire if you ask me, let alone the verses themselves.
