You can still get delicious UV damage in the cold and even the shade...
My back has started breaking out after I started birth control, I don't know if shade will work for it? I've noticed in the past that during the really hot months it would always clear up. I always thought it was the sun but maybe I'm wrong.
eta: and I do know I burn in the shade. I've even burned from being in a car with dark tint on a road trip, fuck my skin so bad. :(
I take my PT test tomorrow.
To get a 100 I need to do 67 push-ups in 1 minute, 58 sit-ups in one minute and run a mile and a half in less than 9:12.
I know I'll max on the push-ups and sit-ups, but I haven't been doing as much cardio as I used to, I know I'll still have a great run time, but not sure if I'll hit below the 9:12 mark this time, we'll see. All good though, I'll still get a 98 or 99.

Of course the sun's UV rays will kill e.g. acne-causing bacteria. Clouds don't stop 'em.
i think the life of this forum hindges on al and his stories
i just honestly think it's hilarious that plat think he has learned more from the streets than i will from college
so you can sit there and justify to yourself that you're smarter than me and have learned more from the streets than i will in college, but when i have job security and a job with a serious future i'll be happy that i went to college.
it's not like my environment isn't competitive, my high school was one of the most competitive schools in a state that is ranked #1 in education spending. it's just a different type of hardship

9:12 is an ez mode time. You got this.
Also aren't sit-ups bad for you? Or am I thinking of crunches? Or am I thinking of nothing?
Sit-ups and crunches can be harmful to spine and neck health, but they're still a fairly reliable indicator of abdominal and oblique endurance. Leg raises, either hanging or in a captain's chair, are generally better exercises and would probably be about as useful a measurement, after developing a set of reasonable standards.
But this is the US military, whose payroll runs on an impossibly broken monolith of FORTRAN code from 50 years ago that can't even be upgraded from in the foreseeable future due ot the costs it would incur.
