The Official Poker/Gambling Thread

That's a reason you don't slow play AQ. And that's the beginning of a tourney too from the looks of it. I've been running bad lately. Can't hit any boards and miss all my flush draws

It was the 5th level I think, he only raised real small pre flop

Variance a bitch tho

Did somebody say rigged?

The greatest feeling

Wow. I was playing early and if I would've stayed in I would've flopped a J high straight, one guy flopped a Q high straight, and a guy flopped a set and turned a boat haha. Flops where everyone hits a piece is scary. Also I love pocket aces but almost hate flopping sets with them because the odds of your opponent having any piece of that is very low.. except for earlier. I flopped a set of aces, check it. He bet, I called. Check through the turn. Value bet river, he has AJ. The odds of him having a fucking ace man.. could've gotten so much more money out of that
Got short stacked. Turned top 2 pair, paid him off on river since he had a set of 6s. Next hand, get KK. AJK flop. Got distracted, didn't know how much money I had. Bet flop and turn, he put me all in on turn(only like $3). Turned a flush draw. Hit the flush on river. Fuuuck you bovada. I'm going to hit top two, run into a set then flop a set of kings and lose? Dear lord.
Literally like 2 hands later, flop a set of 6s. He shoves all in for small, I call.. turns a set of kings. Fuck dude.
You're allowed to lose hands lol
Two sets in a row? I mean damn. What're the odds. I'll post some fun screen shots later. Late regged a $3 tourney. Also wasn't it you that said your winning percentage with Aces aipf was 40%? How is that not rigged

Ya lol it was between 40-50 for a 200 hand stretch back in the day. I still maintain that I win the least with aces when it's not my "fault" lol

Maybe it's because I 4table, but crazy shit is happening all the time. As long as you got your money in good when you did, that's all you can do. If you do that consistently, you'll emerge a winning player.

True. That's what I was telling my friend. As long as I'm not making stupid mistakes and getting my money in good, losing won't effect me as much. Just gotta get used to it. Yeah I'm done playing online. I can't imagine I'm this awful at poker. Miss every draw, every flop. People don't bluff online.. learned that the hard way. Weird how I easily go up $100 in a few sessions to going to losing $50 just that easy. I feel like I do better playing 1/2 live

People bluff online all the time ;)

I don't think the right attitude is to play for what, a week and then give up lol. But hey, you do you

At the final table of the $100 Extreme Tuesday on ACR.  5/9.  3k for 1st.
Fuck you professionals. Jk keep it up llama
How many players does that site get at peak hours "America's Card Room" what a shitty fucking name
I couldn't tell you to be honest, it is apart of the Winning Poker Network (WPN) which is available throughout northamerica

My 1st $109 MTT came tonight.  Very excited.

Im cashing out some of my winnings from this incredible heater and getting a BMW. Will post pics soon
Fuck off
What kind of bankroll do you have? And BMWs are not worth the money. When you sell it you're not going to get any money back off of it. My truck? I paid 38k for it and when I sell it, I can sell it for 30k easily. Trucks don't lose their value like luxury cars. They are just downright not worth it
Yea but luxury is sick
Luxury is over rated unless you're paying for super high end cars. Also I suck at online cash games. No confidence

sour grapes ;)

I literally never play cash online. I play EXCLUSIVELY tourneys.

My bankroll is a good amount.  I can comfortably play mid stake MTTs mixed in with my favorite cash games (50-200PLO)

There is a big series coming up on ACR next week.  Wish me luck.

Late regged the 5k guaranteed. Like late regged in the sense I started with like 15bb. Shoved here and there, won a luck one with A10 v AQ. Sitting with 45k @ 800/1600. 141 players left so I'm in the money. Edit, 87 people left. I'm at 46k. Just lost a flip with kj v a9. Have yet to get any pocket pair above 10s and been playing for 3 hours :(
A raise and I rip 14bb with KK into AJ. Flop a set of kings, turn gave him a Broadway draw. Blank. 92k 1500/3000. 77 left. Edit: Doubled up AQ v 10s. Next hand get 10s, raise and a shove. Call. He has a6, blanks. 213k at 2500/5k. 49 left. Crazy two hands I go from like 15 bb to bear 45
Out in 42nd. Lost a coin flip AJ vs 77. Turned a flush draw. Brick. Few hands later the button raises, I shove with 6s and run into 9s. The one time the button wakes up with a hand. All for a measly $17 of 4 hours of my time. What a waste
Wasn't a waste! Wasn't it fun? You also got valuable experience
I was card dead. I was literally shoving any hand I could like once every 30 minutes because that's how often I'd get a hand. Shove, steal some blinds. Maybe double up to 30bb... blind back down and do it all over again. I like playing tourneys but I never had the stack to play any hands until the end

This is what I like http://i66.tinypic.com/2njhruc.jpg

pre-flop all in bb, just took the cap before the river ran out (was another ace). Needless to say, my heart skipped a beat when it hit

I can never tell which one is you. But a flopped royal, nbd.

Also moved my sister down here by St Louis. They have daily noon tourneys then on Friday and Saturdays they have 2 tourneys. Can't wait until I get a bankroll

Yea I flopped it. It's only the third one I've ever hit in hold em and it was maybe 6 years ago I hit the last one. Glhf at the live tourneys when you play em ;p
I've only hit one of them I believe and that was live in a casino. I turned it with Q10 of clubs. Too bad the casino I was at didn't have a high hand or anything. Stl has high hands everyday that reset which is nice
One time I was playing at the track with one of my boys and got AhKh, raised. Just us two to the flop. Flop AsKsJs. He checks, I bet, he raises, I call. Turn Ac. He bets, I raise, he re-raises and I look at him and start talking about the mistake he's making and fucking with him. He's just doing the exact same thing to me. So I end up shoving, he just can't stop laughing and flips Qs10s. He ended winning $599 for the high hand, and took the $300 I had in front of me. It was retarded because he owed me $300, so he just paid me back with the money he took literally seconds before rofl
