I am proud to say that I make up my mind on an issue because I already have my beliefs, so its easy to fit them into whatever issue I hear about, and see if they agree or disagree with my core principles. And before i make a final judgement call on an issue I research it to see if I know all of the facts and opinions. If you dont stand for something, you will stand for anything. And if you cant make up your mind about what you believe now, how can you expect to do more then that when you are under pressure in an elected political office?if you want to make a difference, you have to be informed. Start reading the news every day( dont read newspapers, youll learn nothing.) Start reading blogs, conservative and liberal, and see where the facts of every issue take you. NEVER be emotional, always use logic, or else you will overlook facts that may change your opinions, and you may even overlook the truth of a matter. Ignorance and apathy are killing our country, because people dont think National politics or even Local ones affect them at all. Check out the Drudgereport.com, its an awesome news site which only post links to actual news stories, so you dont have to worry about it being tilted on way or the other before you make up your mind. |

My personal belief is that I rarely deal in absolutes. I use logic in ALL reasoning and I feel as though I've learned a great deal in my life. I have the (rare, I think) ability to look down both streets and see the argument as they are presented to me. I don't want to waste that ability. I'd like to use it to its full potential before making a serious stand on one side of that road or the other. I appreciate your response. I check Drudge often. Thanks for the advice, though! And you know why I like Bill Maher, cause he's just as critical of democrats as anybody else. Maybe I need to grow up and listen to more "moderate" commentators. Michael Savage, and Rush. You pretty much don't get any more moderate than those guys. Last edited by Tsunami; 03-05-2007 at 06:11 AM. |

He's a laughing stock of the country. The media is in love with him because he's always giving the major networks one-liners and screwing up so much it gets to the point where people have just stopped laughing. |
| Yeah, I saw this yesterday actually on YouTube. I was intrigued with her stupidity so I looked her up some more, and it was amazing how much air time she gets. Check her out on some videos with 'Hannity & Colmes', (I hate that show), but they have her on several times and it's like she has absolutley no idea what she is talking about. Also, she was in an interview and stated something like, "Canadians helped our boys in Vietnam". The interviewer looked at her like she was stupid and calmly stated that she was wrong. She then proceeds to repeatedly say that she is right. (She was in fact wrong) What-A-Dumbass. I think you knew that though... |
| Two things: 1. Unless you are the world-wide expert on everything, then you should be listening to other people on things. I am not going to go to superjohnboy for medical advice because he has his own beliefs and I hope you do not do the same. This goes for all topics. There is most likely someone smarter than you on everything out there. 2. Bill Maher is a Commedian. He has been in 22 films and T.V. shows in a comedic role. His monolauges and commentary are all comedic satire meant to make light of politcs and life. Ann Coulter, his friend sadly, is the devil. |
