Is Ron Paul's polls higher than in 2008? I think he's a great republican contender for being middle ground for the country but as PP stated, I couldn't see that flying with the GOP at all.

It's higher but he's got a ways to go, the good news is he matches up favorably against Obama with the independent and democratic votes he steals. The main goal right now for the Paul campaign is to funnel most of the money into hitting NH and Iowa with commercials and support groups. He's been giving a lot of speeches there too.

One media built obstacle he has to beat is his 'unelectability', as long as he takes 1st or 2nd in those states he'll gain massive support.

there's absolutely zero chance he'll ever get the chance to go against obama.

Romney is incomparable to Ron, he's very much comparable to Obama though.

That would make an interesting race and something I'd be comfortable with even if I did vote obama again. I'm most worried that Cain will get it and then it's over.

I haven't been watching politics that closely since having Connor. But, the most momental thing for me was the healthcare bill.

It mandated my parents insurance so that they're allowed to cover me until 25 regardless of my student status.

Also the pre-existing conditions. I don't know if it was ever repealed, but once I had my health scare it scared me shitless that I would be denied health insurance later once I'm off my parents insurance. It's already hard to pay the bills with insurance from my endless lab work.

My beliefs don't fall in line with the hardcore conservatives ideas on almost anything though. Taxes are a big one-- I'm not for fucking the middle class and letting the rich elite slide. I think we should be taxing the shit out of them.

I wish I could find this article I read on yahoo either last night or night before and it was Clinton speaking on taxes/new book. He admitted that he should be taxed a lot higher and something along the lines of the rich having a duty and the opportunity to be contributing more to the bills, I wish he could run again.
